Digits
Digits is an AI accounting platform for US businesses and accounting firms. Its Agentic General Ledger categorises transactions, reconciles accounts, and sends uncertain items to an exception inbox for review.
Connect bank accounts, cards, payroll services, and payment tools such as Stripe, Ramp, and BILL. Digits supports cash and accrual accounting, with live profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports. Higher plans add custom dashboards, dimensional accounting, accrual schedules, management reports, and automated close work.
Ask Digits lets you question the ledger in plain English. You can ask about revenue, spending, cash, vendors, or unusual movements and receive an answer based on the company’s current financial data. The accounting context remains attached to the books, so you do not need to paste figures into a separate chatbot.
The workspace also covers bill pay and invoicing. Digits can collect bills, organise approvals, send invoices, track payments, and connect the resulting entries to the ledger. Receipts, contracts, and statements can be attached to transactions, giving reviewers access to the source material behind each entry.
Digits for accounting firms
Accounting firms can manage several clients from one workspace. Digits provides bookkeeping, reconciliation, research, and quality review agents, along with Agentic Close for recurring month end work. Firm level models learn the practice’s accounting policies and can apply them across client books while leaving exceptions for staff to resolve.
API and MCP access connect Digits with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, and other compatible software. Mobile apps for iPhone and iPad provide another way to check reports, answer questions, and review work.
Digits lists SOC 2 Type II controls, encrypted data storage, revocable connection tokens, and proprietary machine learning models hosted and trained in house. Financial records still need careful access controls. Every automated category, reconciliation, report, and close entry should be reviewed by someone who understands the business.
Digits currently supports US based entities only. It does not file taxes directly, although it can prepare financial records for a tax professional or connect customers with accounting partners. Access is paid after the trial, and each legal entity or business location needs its own subscription. Independent review volume remains limited compared with older accounting platforms.
