WaveSpeed

WaveSpeed puts a large catalogue of generative media models behind one account. You can create images, video, audio, speech, music, 3D assets, and digital humans in its browser workspace, or call the same models through an API.

The web interface is the simpler route for individual creators. Choose a model, add a prompt or source file, adjust its settings, and preview the estimated cost before submitting the job. The catalogue includes text to image, image editing, text to video, image to video, video editing, upscaling, background removal, LoRA training, and several audio tools. Models come from multiple providers, so available features, controls, and output quality vary across the catalogue.

For developers, one API covers more than 1,000 models. WaveSpeed provides REST endpoints, Python and JavaScript SDKs, a command line tool, and integrations for ComfyUI and n8n. Most generation jobs run asynchronously: the API returns a task ID, then your application polls for the result or receives it through a webhook. Streaming and synchronous options are available for supported workflows.

This arrangement suits applications that need to test or switch between models without maintaining separate provider accounts and integrations. A video workflow can generate an image, pass it into a video model, add audio, and collect the finished files. The model list and pricing endpoints also let developers build selectors that reflect the current catalogue.

Billing is usage based, with no subscription required. You add prepaid credits and pay according to the selected model and settings. Resolution, duration, batch size, and model complexity can affect the final charge. Credits do not expire, but purchases are generally nonrefundable.

Generated files are retained for up to seven days, so production applications should download results promptly or automate storage through webhooks. Commercial rights depend on the exact model and provider terms. Most models permit commercial use, but some require attribution or restrict commercial work. WaveSpeed explains these differences in its commercial use policy.
