Talkio
Talkio helps you practise speaking a language through conversations with AI tutors. Choose a topic, follow a guided course or use suggested responses when you get stuck. It gives learners a place to rehearse everyday conversations between lessons, before travelling or ahead of a discussion at work.
Talkio supports 70+ languages, with multiple accents and dialects for popular languages. Its collection of more than 400 AI tutors offers different voices and artificial personalities. These are virtual conversation partners, not human teachers.
Feedback covers pronunciation, grammar and fluency. Word-by-word pronunciation practice helps you revisit difficult phrases, while the Wordbook stores vocabulary from your sessions for later review. Streaks, progress tracking and weekly reports help you keep a record of your practice.
You can use Talkio in a browser or through its iPhone and Android apps, signing in with the same account across devices. Guided lessons and prompts provide a starting point when an open conversation feels difficult.
All plans are paid. Web subscriptions include a seven-day trial that begins billing automatically unless you cancel before it ends. One-time purchases do not include the trial, and mobile subscriptions are managed through the relevant app store.
Use AI feedback as practice guidance rather than a definitive assessment of your language ability. Regular conversations with people remain useful for learning how language changes with context, culture and individual speaking styles.
