ProofWrite Guest Post Checker checks whether a guest article looks ready to send to an editor. Paste the draft, add the promoted URL and anchor text when relevant, and it returns an acceptance grade based on AI writing patterns, link placement, and editorial quality.
The checker uses a deterministic editorial rules engine rather than an AI probability score. The same draft should therefore receive the same result each time. It looks for more than 165 cliché patterns, repeated transitions, excessive em dashes, moralizing conclusions, uniform sentence rhythm, and paragraphs with little concrete detail.
AI writing patterns account for 40 percent of the grade. Link naturalness contributes 25 percent, while editorial quality makes up the remaining 35 percent. Results include an overall score, separate scores for each section, and the number of issues found. Scores of 75 or higher are marked as likely to be accepted. Anything below 55 is treated as a high rejection risk.
The link analysis is useful for agencies, freelance writers, and link builders. It checks for generic anchors, bare URLs, repeated exact match wording, high link density, and repeated references to the promoted domain. This can catch paragraphs that appear to exist mainly to carry a commercial link.
Editorial checks cover concrete evidence, first hand experience signals, sentence variety, and paragraph strength. Numbers, named examples, tested workflows, and specific observations generally improve the result. The tool does not verify that those details are accurate, so factual checks still need to happen separately.
You can see the overall grade and three section scores without registering. Passage by passage findings require an email address, with the complete report delivered by email. The checker is free to use.
ProofWrite says drafts are processed in memory and then discarded. They are not stored or used for model training. Only the score is retained locally in your browser so it remains available after a refresh.
The acceptance grade is an editing aid rather than a prediction. It cannot account for a publisher’s topic requirements, contributor relationship, house style, or tolerance for commercial links. Intentional repetition and unusual writing styles may also trigger its rules. It works best as a final screening pass before submitting a guest post.
