Its AI assistant, Ada, builds and edits apps from descriptions. You might start with a booking app for a local business, a membership directory or an internal tool for tracking customer requests. A shared project supports mobile and web publishing, so you can manage the app's data and functionality in one place.
AI building and editing
- Magic Start: Generates an initial prototype with screens, database collections, relationships, navigation and sample data.
- Magic Add: Adds features to an existing app from written instructions, such as a favorites list or a review system.
- Visual AI Direction: Lets you select an element on the canvas and describe the change you want.
- X-Ray: Scans for issues such as broken links, missing data connections and design inconsistencies, then suggests fixes.
Visual control and app data
Adalo's canvas shows multiple screens together, helping you see how users move through the app. You can rearrange components, change layouts and apply your own fonts, colors and branding.
A built-in database stores your app's information. User accounts, forms, lists and feature templates provide building blocks for common business workflows. Custom actions and external data connections extend what the app can do, although access depends on your plan.
Pricing and practical limits
The free plan supports building and testing, with limited database records. Paid plans add publishing, custom domains and other capabilities. Ada is included across the plans and is currently labeled beta. Native app publishing requires a suitable paid plan.
Adalo is most suitable for apps organized around records, users and workflows. Projects requiring complex games, extensive offline functionality or direct Bluetooth hardware control fall outside Ada's stated scope. Generated apps still need testing, particularly around permissions, payments and navigation.
